For many of us, incorporating civic action into environmental education represents a pretty big shift in our thinking.
Earth Force helps to ease that transition and help educators create learning laboratories. To do this, our professional development focuses on five Learning Goals to build educators’ skills, rather than simply helping educators understand the mechanics of our process.
Each step in the Earth Force Process utilizes these skills. For instance, conducting an inventory requires that educators use Youth-Adult Partnership skills. In that section of the Educator Guide, those skills are identified and links to supporting activities are included.
